Hi, I have the following NTFS permissions set on the root web folder of a website:
Allow inheritable - Unchecked Administrators Full Control (incl. Administrator) Domain Admins - Modify (incl. BUILTIN/Administrators) Domain Authors - Read (incl. UserX) Domain Browsers - Read When I go to the URL and either type in the Administrator username & password or the UserX username & password in the Popup it used to work fine. Suddenly neither of them get in anymore and this has happened on all the websites that had this NTFS permissions restriction set up. Of course if I add Everyone - Full Control I go straight in but that's not what i want. All the sub folders and files inherit the same permissions - I've checked. Does anyone have any idea why it has suddenly stopped working? Any experience with NTFS permissions not letting the users that are assigned permission access? Surely Administrator should get in at least with the above configuration? I'm stumped!!! Please email me direct too if you can. I'm on Win2k Adv server stand alone, not using Active Directory.
