You need to keep something in mind, though. By default, Group Policy has a
slow link detection of 500K. Anything lower than that, and most, if not all
of group policy settings will not be pushed down to the client. It would
simply take way too long. So regardless of whether you type in the secedit
/refreshpolicy machine_policy or user_policy /enforce, it doesn't
necessarily mean that it is actually going to apply the group policy. Why
do you think you need to try to force the refresh of group policy in the
first place? Because it doesn't get propagated to slow links. If you
really want to, you can modify the slow link detection setting in group
policy to a lower setting, but at the risk of making your remote user wait
10-15 minutes or more for settings to be applied. Just my 2 cents.

Subject: Group Policy

Does anyone know of a way to manually force a refresh of AD assigned Group
Policies from the client? I know that I can set the Group Policy Refresh
interval, but I am looking for something that I can run in a logon script
for Remote Access users. Any ideas, or even VB Scripting solutions?

Thanks,

Brian
