Setup as follows:
SERVER: OS: Windows 2000 Service Pack 2 Email Server: Mdaemon CLIENT: OS: Windows XP (Latest updates) Email Client: Microsoft Outlook 2002 ISSUE: A singular client (myself in fact) attempts to download email over the LAN. Each time I do, the server Blue Screens with the stop error DRIVER_IRQL_SERVER_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL in NDIS.SYS. After researching, I found that this STOP error means basically that the NDIS driver attempted to access paged memory at an internal request level (IRQL) that was too high. The event log reports the following information: ----------------------------- Event Type: Information Event Source: Save Dump Event Category: None Event ID: 1001 Date: 9/01/2002 Time: 10:53:38 AM User: N/A Computer: PRINTERS Description: The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x000000d1 (0x01584114, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0xf9c98b0d). Microsoft Windows 2000 [v15.2195]. A dump was saved in: C:\WINNT\MEMORY.DMP. ----------------------------- What could be causing a singular client to cause a crash in such a way? I have had this problem before but it appeared to stop, and has now reappeared. Here are some interesting things: - I can download a few messages before the system actually bluescreens. - If I empty out my mail directory and check for mail (returning 0 waiting emails) the server won't crash. Weird, huh.
