It is called Robust File Copy Utility in the resource kit. -----Original Message----- From: Elkins, Justin [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Wednesday, January 09, 2002 3:06 PM To: NT 2000 Discussions Subject: RE: Server to Server folder move Where does one get Robocopy -----Original Message----- From: Ed Esgro [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Wednesday, January 09, 2002 12:57 PM To: NT 2000 Discussions Subject: RE: Server to Server folder move Nope, I use it all the time. Robocopy does it all. Great utility, and it is a fast copy. Plus if you are trying to copy something, and it finds that you don't have permissions, it won't crap out like the windows explorer and quit copying all together, it will wait until you set the proper permissions and continue trying to copy the file/folder every 30 seconds. Windows explorer says you don't have permissions, then leaves you hanging with no idea where the copy left off. -----Original Message----- From: Tim Rutherford [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Wednesday, January 09, 2002 2:30 PM To: NT 2000 Discussions Subject: RE: Server to Server folder move I didnt think robocopy copied permissions, only inherited what was specified on the target folder - no? -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of Ed Esgro Sent: Wednesday, January 09, 2002 2:14 PM To: NT 2000 Discussions Subject: RE: Server to Server folder move Robocopy -----Original Message----- From: Kyle Burns [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Wednesday, January 09, 2002 1:50 PM To: NT 2000 Discussions Subject: Server to Server folder move I can't remember where, but I remember hearing something about a utility that will move folders from one server to another while maintaining the permissions.
