I am working on the deployment of a .MSI file using the GPO approach. the problem is, if you try to use the Veritas WinSTALL LE software, you get an error about trying to set a null value in a non-null variable when trying to create a package. I would like to just use the .MSI directly, but there are settings that need to be input, and I don't want the user to answer any questions, just see and user the software.
It appears that the key to this is using a transform file. That is all well and good, but how do I create one of these? MS says something about using the Windows 2000 Software Development Kit (Q236943), but then doesn't tell you anything more than that, like where to get it. Any thoughts? TIA, W.
