i try to get some basic understanding what happens in a resource/accounts NT4 domain if an user trys to logon to his workstation.
Afaik the workstation authenticates to it�s resource domain controller which passes the authentication credentials to an account domain dc. Having some problems with this i ran NLTEST /DCTRUST:accountsdomain which came up with the PDC of the accountdomain. Now i wonder what causes a DC to be the trusted DC ? What happens if this DC get offline ?
