You must activate the schema DLL before you can add AD Schema to the MMC. At the command prompt, type: regsrv32 %systemroot%\system32\schmmgmt.dll
At the message that the DLL Register Service succeeded, close the command prompt. Now, the Active Directory Schema should be available to the MMC. ________________________________________ Hector Minero Systems Engineer NSWCDD Code K55 Ph: (540)653-8859 Fax: (540)653-8575 Email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] -----Original Message----- From: Scott Lever [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Tuesday, February 05, 2002 11:56 AM To: NT 2000 Discussions Subject: Re: Schema owner Active Directory Trusts MMC snap-in, right click on forest root domain, operations master then move the FSMO roles as desired. something like that - you will need to ensure that the snap-in connects to the machine that you wish to transfer the FSMO roles to. thanks, Scott Lever - MCP, MCSA IT Specialist, IBM CLS Project Windows NT Team IBM UK Ltd, Portsmouth - MailPoint F3J Email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Mobx: 279230 Desk: 255079 Mobile: 07740 830 169 "Sabo, Eric" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "NT 2000 Discussions" Sent by: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> bounce-nt2000-218395@ls cc: .swynk.com Subject: Schema owner 05/02/2002 16:51 Please respond to "NT 2000 Discussions" I want to transfer this role (schema owner) from one domain controller to another domain controller?
