Hey gang ... I have a problem I've been trying to crack for a while without any luck. Can't find anything in TechNet, KnowledgeBase or on the MS newsgroups, the Swynk archives and my many postings on various message boards have yielded no comments. Here we go...
Windows 2000 Advanced Server, sp2 6-way HP LH6000 U3, 6GB memory Windows 2000 could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt: <windows 2000 root>\system32\ntoskrnl.exe Please reinstall a copy of the above file. ===== After following the directions of MS KnowledgeBase article Q268363 (modifying the boot.ini to include the /PAE switch) the above message is when I get when I reboot. I've looked all over the web and through TechNet/KnowledgeBase without finding anything about this situation. When I remove the /PAE switch from the boot.ini the system is fine, no problems. Anyone have any ideas? ------ You are subscribed as [email protected] Archives: http://www.swynk.com/sitesearch/search.asp To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
