actually, i I'm pretty sure that if the external dns forwarder is down the
internal dns server will still forward the recursive lookups to the internet
directly (unless outbound dns is filtered at the firewall, or recursion is
disabled locally).  this way you can have your cake.......

host 2 sets, we do only put on the external what people need to see. Do not
forward internal for name resolutions to external, if the external one dies
, your name resolution for external sites dies with it.

I'm sure this has probably been discussed before but I have Internal DNS and
External DNS. I either need to have External update Internal or host 2 sets
of DNS Servers.... Does Microsoft have any recommendations for this or would
I be better off just hosting 2 sets?
