BIG YAWN............... STRETCH... up much too early for PST....... :)
"confirm layer 2", meaning, "hey sugar-bear, make sure you got link on that
there nic" :). first ask, "what's changed", next, check the connection to
the hub/switch, check your nics speed and duplex settings, press "test" on
any vendor supplied diag software, then have a look at ip. it's a similar
approach as to that used in debugging code. I wouldn't open IE until i
could
keep link and send 1000 500byte echo requests (icmp) successfully to my
gateway (use ping.exe). the Ethernet standard is defined at layer 2 of the
osi reference model.
you'll be running soon.byron

Subject: help with TCP IP
once again, i am sure TCP/IP was put here just for my misery lol
one of the pc's which was working fine all of suddens wont log on to the
network keeps saying that can't contact the domain controller
i did an ipconfig and the adapter was set to 0.0.0.0
i did a renew and then i get his error
no adapters bound to tcp/ip are enabled for DHCP
any ideas?
i checked in the network settings and it says it is?
