We do. All of our mapping is done to DFS points. It does not work for
Win9x clients though. We migrated everyone to Win2k or better so it
doesn't impact us. This allows me to change physical locations of the
shares without having to change scripts and making everyone logoff and
back on for the change. No one needs to know specific server names and
share names. We just map to the domain\dfs location. Reduces curious
fingers.

Subject: DFS

Does anyone map a drive to their DFS Root?
Or does anyone map to a DFS point at all?

Thanks ahead of time for the Feedback.
