Someone told me that DFS has a limit of 32 servers. Is this true?

We use it extensively (albeit) NT4. Works a treat.

The only thing I'd say is that you want to agree standards about at which
point in the dfs path you will create the links and how you will permission
them.

Has anyone had any experience running a flat file application through DFS?

Say, I have two file servers and I want to buy another server and make this
a DFS root and files redundancy in case one of the server goes out. Is this
sound like a good plan if I have money to buy one more?

DFS rocks. There is a client for Win9x although it is beneficial to upgrade
the clients if you can. Great tool for abstraction.

Win2K can map inside the DFS root as long as you manually enter the path
rather than browsing through the DFS tree.
