We've been very happy with HP switches for a long time... In the few
instances where there have been problems (one 8 port card went bad on a
switch 8000 and two 2424M's had switching matrices that developed an odd
problem out of the 25 or so switches we have) the problem part/switch was
replaced next day with a quick phone call to HP. I just love the lifetime
warranty....... Even on our hot and dirty shop floor the switches run like
champs...

What price point are you looking at?

I favor LinkSys except at Corporate sites where I favor Cisco. HP makes
some great switches as well...

I'm not fond of 3COM at all...

Can anyone here recommend a good switch to me for my network that has some
10Mb and some 100Mb NICs on it?

The 100Mb NICs are auto-sensing and they always sense down to the 10 because
there are a couple of old cards on the net. I'd like the NICs that can run
at 100 to run at 100.

Thanks!
