All depends on the feature set you need. Citrix is really just an add-on
the gives you additional management functionality and some niceties on the
client side.

First step will be a detailed scope and needs analysis and then see if TS
does it all or part for you. If just part then you will have to do a cost
analysis to see if you can just Citrix for the added cost and complexity to
get those needed features.

Take a look at this page.....
Citrix is really nice but also really expensive this link gives you
development options that can be used to supplement the things Citrix can do.
If you need some code examples e-mail me directly.

Subject: Terminal Services (Please no holy wars)

I have been charged with the task of deploying a terminal services
environment in approximately 3 weeks. As terminal services go I am rather a
newbie. I have used the basic TS in Win2000 for remote admin. I am looking
for a comparison between MS Terminal services and Citrix (or are there other
solutions I am not aware of that I should look at?). Any quick input you
have on the benefits of one over the other would be greatly appreciated.
Even if you wish to respond directly. Thanks,

Bruce Fyfe
