Win9x doesn't appreciate DNS only networks. You really need WINS for
reliablity.

Do you have any WINS configured in the network?

Subject: Domain problem

Hi All
I have a problem that I hope someone on this list will be able to shed some
light on. Windows 2000 Server x 2, SP2, one running exchange 2000, SP2 and
the other acting as terminal server in application mode. Clients are all
Windows 2000 pro except for 2 x windows 98, and that is
my problem. The 2 98 machines will not connect to the servers (can not
be upgraded until the proprietary software is stable on 2000). When
they are in workgroup mode they will attach to the servers and can map
drives but when told to log onto the domain fail with the following error
"The domain password you supplied is not correct, or access to your log on
server has been denied" This can happen several times and then they get onto
the network Any Ideas??????????????????????????? Thanks
