What if you hard code the IP info in rather than use DHCP? -----Original Message----- From: John Allhiser [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Monday, March 11, 2002 7:25 PM To: NT 2000 Discussions Subject: Re: Domain problem
Okay. Some areas to consider: Are you using any security templates? IPSec? Is there a Linux box on the network? (Sometimes Linux/Unix likes to assert itself as the preferred Browser in WINS.) Does the name of the server in WINS with the <1c> entry match your DC? How are the 98 PCs connecting to the network? (binding order on the NIC, port speed/placement on switches, etc.) Are there any startup/logon scripts in the mix? Let us know...I'm grasping at straws and a bit curious. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Roger Smith" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "NT 2000 Discussions" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Monday, March 11, 2002 8:59 PM Subject: RE: Domain problem > Tried that as well - Nada > > -----Original Message----- > From: John Allhiser [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] > Sent: Tuesday, 12 March 2002 12:15 PM > To: NT 2000 Discussions > Subject: Re: Domain problem > > > Is the DSClient running on the Win 98 boxen? > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Roger Smith" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > To: "NT 2000 Discussions" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Sent: Monday, March 11, 2002 7:02 PM > Subject: Domain problem > > > > Hi All > > I have a problem that I hope someone on this list will be able to > > shed some light on.
