and what element would cause a problem? Yes a hacker could use them.... but you can't stop them obtaining copies anyway! If your admin staff use it and remove the service after disconnect, which you have the option to do.
I can't see any real security risk that isn't inherently built into 2000/NT. If DELL, ATT&T, HP, IBM, The pentagon, etc (http://www.dameware.com/reference/) use it..
