This sounds like a browser/master browser problem. Use browsmon on the
resource kit to check if the servers are holding the full domain list...
there are loads of relevant articles on Technet concerning this.. sorry
can't remember them off the top of my head.
Hope this pushes u in the right direction

Hi list,
probably this is a well known problem, but I am just to stupid to find the
right link in the net.
Situation:
2 w2k Server (2 dns and 1 wins server)
about 20 w2k prof workstations
tcp/ip (w netbios)
Problem:
Usually I we see all our computers in the network environment of the
explorer. But sometimes we don't.
Further Information:
It is still possible to access the machines with typing in the names in the
adress field or using 'net use'.
After Rebooting computers mostly show up again. I can't reproduce it.
Maybe someone has a good hint, where to find information about this problem
and how to fix it. I can't turn off the WINS Server, but might this be the
cause?
Thanx in advance...
Elmer
