I actually tried just that with the LinkSys AP and it sounds like it should
work, but their tech support people said no. I needed to have a cable to
attach the 2nd AP to the network to extend the range for the wireless
connections. I seem to remember that you can use 2 AP's to act as a
Bridge, but then they can only talk to each other and not the machines on
the wireless network. That was about 4 months ago, things in the wireless
world are changing so fast that it might be available now.

Sort of:
What I want is to eliminate cables
So when I get towards the end of the AP range I can install another AP and
Connect the 2 together
Keep in mind we will probably only be using small AP's like a Linksys,
D-Link or something Small.
I know I will have disable DHCP on one of them and that type of stuff I can
test.
I was just wandering if anyone else has tried to do this.

???

1) Do you mean having an AP in each building and using them like a bridge?

2) Connecting both to the same switch/hub to handle , say, 50 users in an
area?

3) something else

cheers
Dean

If I have 2 Wireless Access points that support 802.11b and WIFI Can I
connect them together via the Wirless like stacking switches?
