Huh... I just moved the block size from 8->32K and the buffer from 32->128K
on my Seagate AIT-1s, and I'm now seeing full device speed (180 MB/minute
native) on my backups, instead of 80-100 MB/minute. Good tip!

Just checked my setting and it was set for 64k.  Guess I will continue in
trying a good way to increase speeds of the gazillions of little files being
backed up.

Go to the Devices Tab - right click on the Tape device and go to
properties.  In the configuration tab, change the settings.  The default 1K.
