I do not know. May want to forward that question to Veritas. The only
backups I have done are in the big block size (64k). I was able to backup
and restore a SQL 2000 database and some html files today without any problems.

I am still new to Veritas (about one week.. one solid week). I have
invested over 30 hours this week into learning Veritas, mostly by trial and
error, backing up and restoring using different configurations, and reading
the telephone book that comes with it ;-).

My guess would be yes. Since you backed up to the tape using smaller
blocksize, I would think that I would restore using the smaller
blocksize. If not and you know what the block size is for the old
archives, just change the setting before doing a restore.

Do a test and find out. I will test it on Monday and I will let you know
about it.
