How about adding the user or group (preferred way) to the Local Security Policy. Do this on the workstation in question.
1. Start the Local Security Policy MMC, Run "polsec.msc" (without the quotes) 2. Select Security Options 3. Disable the "Prevent users from Installing Printer Drivers" I think that should work?
