Funny you would ask that question...I just redid my RIS environment here ya go
You can create a new CD image with SP2 slipstreamed onto it and add all required POST SP2 Hotfix's so that they are applied with the initial source at time of build. Instead of explaining how in an email I recommend that you read the guide 'Microsoft Windows 2000 Service Pack Installation and Deployment Guide' which can be found at 'http://www.microsoft.com/technet/treeview/default.asp?url=/TechNet/prodtech nol/windows2000serv/support/spdeploy.asp'. It has all the information you need regarding Integrating SP, and Hotfix's into RIS (and any other) images. -----Original Message----- From: W2K Discussions [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Tuesday, April 23, 2002 9:09 PM To: NT 2000 Discussions Subject: Adding SP2 to a cd-based image on a RIS server Ok - I had setup my RIS server, and used a base w2k cd to do so. I have now created my machine exactly how I need it. I went to run RIPREP, and I am getting an error regarding the version of windows. Searched the kb, and I know the issue is because I have installed SP2 for w2k on my machine. Is there a way to add SP2 to my image on the server, so that it will allow me to image the machine with RIPREP?
