I posted about this one before and got some help that allowed me to get some meaning about this error code but am still unable to get it to go away.
Clue 1. Two days before this error started I remove a domain from our trusted domain list. Clue 2. The error started showing up on a backup NT 4.0 domain controller. After a day or two the error started showing up on member server running 2k and NT. Clue 3. All relative patches and SP are applied to all machines. Clue 4. The errors come in at all times of the day in random order. I have search google and Technet web and CD version. MS event 'Thu Jun 06 09:23:46 2002': Server - " The server service was unable to map error code 1231. " Translation: obtained from http://maximus.sheridanc.on.ca/technet/win2000/win2000_errorcodes.jsp <http://maximus.sheridanc.on.ca/technet/win2000/win2000_errorcodes.jsp> with help from list sorry I don't remember who gave this to me (great site) Error code 1231: ERROR_NETWORK_UNREACHABLE - The remote network is not reachable by the transport. I can't tell what network it is trying to reach or tell the servers to quite trying. Why would member servers be trying to reach the old domain?
