There may be something else in the environment that changed or a mis-configuration of the network before hand.
Did you replicate your environment in a lab first? Did it go ok? -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Friday, June 07, 2002 7:46 AM To: NT 2000 Discussions Subject: RE: Switch Widows in native mode. If there isn't something in place to maintain communication with down level clients then you may to try the impossible. Do you have any NT 4.0 Servers remaining on the network? If so, see if you can get WINS loaded on the W2K side and NT 4.0 side. I'd suggest a test lab, but at this point it may not matter. This is just a shot in the dark. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of Laurentiu Bogdan Sent: Friday, June 07, 2002 8:24 AM To: NT 2000 Discussions Subject: RE: Switch Widows in native mode. You very likely have other problems then the switch to native mode, as Marv points out. We moved to native mode with 3000 NT clients without a problem. -----Original Message----- From: Marvin Cummings [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Friday, June 07, 2002 6:56 AM To: NT 2000 Discussions Subject: RE: Switch Widows in native mode. Do you still have WINS on the network? I know that WINS is needed to maintain communication with down level clients. This is just a thought. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of Laurentiu Bogdan Sent: Friday, June 07, 2002 6:43 AM To: NT 2000 Discussions Subject: RE: Switch Widows in native mode. That is why your NT4 workstations are not connecting. Upgrade your workstations to win2k or restore server to mixed mode. -----Original Message----- From: Laurentiu Bogdan [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Friday, June 07, 2002 5:42 AM To: NT 2000 Discussions Subject: RE: Switch Widows in native mode.
