Does the user account have log on local permissions or are you not talking about locally logging in? Check the local policy's you may find something even though this doesn't sound familiar as a policy. I have to assume we are talking W2K SP2 with all patches.

This is a important box and logging on locally works however the domain accounts seem to be 'auto-log' off. I cannot seem to find anything specific to this behavior.
