I also had a Toshiba laptop that the mouse would freak out, when it
first time it happened I thought it was over heating because one of the
fans was making a lot of racket and stopped. After replacing the fan and
making sure that the CPU had good contact with the heat sink it still
would freak out. I never did find out what it was. I have a new Dell
Inspiron now and so far no freak-out.

Nope - just a laptop.

Has anyone ever seen it where you will be working away, and all of a
sudden the mouse goes crazy? I though virus, and scanned (with a no
virus result)...

The system doesn't have the issues if I connect VIA vnc from a remote
machine - operation appears fine - but with local use - the system
spazzes out.

Ideas?

  Dustin
