Well, it could have something to do with the fact that profiles aren't
stored in the \winnt\profiles folder on a 2k box.  Do you have roaming
profiles on your domain?  Have you checked the KB?  Have you checked the
local event viewer?  All these may be helpful clues to solve your issue.  I
can tell you for certain, though, that there are absolutely no problems
putting a win2k pro system on an NT 4.0 domain, which is what we have right
now.

Good afternoon,
     Are there any specific steps one needs to take to log a 2000 pro
machine into an NT 4.0/6a domain?  When I try this with a user other than
the admin I get a message that it can't copy the admin profile from my
winnt\profile folder to the that on the local machine.  It's not a
permission issue with the folder, all have access.  Any
thoughts/suggestions?  Thanks in advance.
