Well, it could have something to do with the fact that profiles aren't stored in the \winnt\profiles folder on a 2k box. Do you have roaming profiles on your domain? Have you checked the KB? Have you checked the local event viewer? All these may be helpful clues to solve your issue. I can tell you for certain, though, that there are absolutely no problems putting a win2k pro system on an NT 4.0 domain, which is what we have right now.
