I did see that article thanks, I should have been more specific. The 2000 machine is running sp2. I know the profile isn't loaded to the winnt\profile folder on the 2000 box, I just didn't write out the path. Every article I've found points to a permission problem or registry or HD space issue but none of those are the problem. I'm getting an eventid 1000 userenv that states that windows can't load the profile and is loading a temp profile. I'm looking into the possibility that I have a corrupt profile.
