If password has been changed recently:

1) Service account running as administrator using old password
2) server logged in using old password
3) terminal server session running with old password

assuming NT , on your PDC and BDCs check the event log for logon failures
for administrator, it will have the workstation name in the error message

cheers

Subject: admin account getting locked out, how??

Somehow our administrator account is getting locked out. I ran passprop
and that isn't set to allow it to lock out, however it does. I can go in
and clear it but what pain. I make quite difficult passwords so some of my
helpers can't type it right very well. Anyone have any insight on how else
this could be happening.

Thanks... Craig
