Exactly.  And when you register you domain names, make sure you add both 
DNS servers.  If one goes down, the internet know that you have a second one.

Depending on your site, should have both in different locations and on 
different networks.  For us, we have one location and have one /24 
advertised by two ISPs.  If both DNS servers can not be reached, I probably 
have an issue not involving a DNS servers.
