(Win2k Server, SP3, DC)
I created a Domain Controller policy in a lab. I made a bunch of edits all
over the place.
Immediately after making those edits, my Scheduled Tasks all failed with
"Could Not Start" as the status.
After trying to find the problem in the GP, I ended up resetting it by
importing the "setup_security.inf" template.
After importing that, my tasks ran fine for a few hours, but then they
"Count Not Start" again. Now, if I delete the task and recreate it, the
task /will/ run for a few hours before erring out again.
This is consistent behaviour; if I delete the task again and recreate it, it
runs fine.
At the time of failure, the eventlog states:
-------------------------------
"Poproute.job" (poproute.exe) 9/20/2002 9:45:00 AM ** ERROR **
The attempt to log on to the account associated with the task
failed, therefore, the task did not run.
The specific error is:
0x80070569: Logon failure: the user has not been granted the
requested logon type at this computer.
Verify that the task's Run-as name and password are valid and try
again.
-------------------------------
Running the task with Runas and using the service account, the program runs.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
