I had to open it up and look at the motherboard.  The
system is a locally built clone.  It has a P5T30-B4
with a AMD-K6 400 processor and 64mb ram.
It all started when it would lose the keyboard and I
would have to unplug and replug it in.  It did this
often. Then the other day it couldn't read from the
hard drive on boot up, so I foramted and reinstalled. 
After the reinstall it keeped hanging at checking the
DMI pool, after a few reboots it finally would go on. 
That stopped after a few days and then the bios
wouldn't recoginize the nic card.  That only happened
once.  Then it ran perfectly for a few days and now we
are back to losing the keyboard.
I though hardware testing software might pinpoint what
is happening.
