Make sure all of the proper services have started. Example: (workstation, server, RPC, TCP/IP netbios helper, etc.)

I haven't set up an domains and added both the computers to WORKGROUP. I am able to ping one system from the other using IP addresses as well as hostnames (I have also made the entry in the hosts files in System32/Drivers/etc) but I am unable to browse using \\IP_Address neither do the systems appear in My Network Places.
