Which version of SQL Server and which version of Win2k (Server or Advanced
Server)?

The tuning switches you're interested in are either /3GT or /PAE. IIRC, /PAE
is one you're going to want to look at, IF you're running AS, rather than
just Server. In either case - search Technet for the info on it. I haven't
done it enough to know off the top of my head how exactly they work.

As far as page file optimization, spread it out across multiple spindles,
preferably either non-RAID sets, or only onto RAID1 / RAID10 partitions.
Keep them away from RAID5, as the parity calculations during swaps drag the
swap time out quite a bit.
