Subject: Optimizing the page file on a 4GB Server System

Hi,

We are looking to upgrade our SQL Server from 1GB to 4GB to increase the
performance. I've been informed that there are ways to optimize the page
file since a 4GB swap file would be too big. Can anyone direct me to the
location where I can find this information? Also, there is a setting to turn
on the 4GB ram tuning switch in Windows 2000. Anyone have any knowledge
about this?

I have always read the discussions on this list and found postings that had
the same problems as I did. It has been a big help.

Thank you
Allen
