You shouldn't need VNC to do this -- and even if you manage to load VNC, who's to say it'll work as the kb drivers are missing for VNC to control. http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;EN-US;q257729& has instructions on editing the registry remotely when a keyboard-driver installation has rendered the kb inoperable. It also suggests the following steps first: RESOLUTION To re-enable the keyboard, use any of the following methods. First, try the Last Known Good Configuration option by pressing F8 at the boot menu.
