Roger - is the default selection to on?  I normally do not use journal
and have not chosen to put on....but if the default is, then I will have
to look at this.

Open Outlook, then Tools | Options, select Journal Options, and deselect
the check boxes (lower left) for all the office apps.

Try it, you'll like it.
