OT Access query & E-mail

This may be an odd one...

How would I go about e-mailing people whose details are stored in an access database?

We currently use Office XP and our customer contacts are stored in a monster Access DB with 1000's of entries. I have been asked to design a method of e-mailing these people directly.

Any help would be appreciated.
