I've got a utility that was written for just this scenario. The gist of it is this... You can use a file with id's in it, it looks through the file, finds the SID for the NT 4 domain ID and the SID for the 2K domain ID. It then updates the registry's profile path so that the 2K SID has the same path as the NT 4 profile path. Will you be migrating the SID history? Sorry, by desktop I meant the desktop PC, not desktop folder. You should be able to throw W2K right on top of NT4. If you're just upgrading the OS it should go very easily unless there isn't enough disk space on C:. If you are changing domains or machines that's a different story. If it's just the deskop you can simply plop W2K over the top of NT4 and it's amaizingly painless - I did this for a client and it went flawless.
