LDAP is port 389...or should be.

You can just go in your services file and see if 1099 is listed. On my 2k
machine in front of me 1099 isn't even listed in the services file.

Subject: Port 1099

Hi All,

An application we are running requires port 1099. When I boot up this
machine (used for demos), port 1099 seems to be in use by LDAP. Is there a
way I can turn this off? It seems that sometimes LDAP connects to 1099,
sometimes it connects to other ports...

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks
