Hell everyone, I am trying to apply SQL Server 2000 SP3 (the security patch is already installed), but it refuses to proceed with:
"Setup was unable to validate logged on user". I am logged on as Administrator so that should not be a problem. I also tried using the "sa" account with its valid password and that fails with the same error message. I have never seen this problem before, and previously SP2 installed fine. Does anyone have any ideas what the authentication problem is please? Thanks!
