We have been using websense for the past year. Internet access Filtering
is good, what I like about their filtering is the ability to work with
AD users and groups to manage internet access, the list of blocked sites
is updated automatically every day. The other part of websense that I
believe is an extra package that allows you to generate reports for each
user's web usage is call websense reporter, depending on your company's
policy you might need this package. In our environment we use a SQL
server to store the data generated by Websence.
Hope this helps

Subject: Web content filtering

Group,

We have been using SonicWall content filter list subscription service
for $600 per year. It looks like it is being discontinued in 10/2003.
What do you recommend for a web content filter? Surfcontrol at around
$2500 seems to bubble up to the top of the list. We use Trend's
Officescan corporate - their web filter any good? Websense, N2H2 seem
to be popular as well. It looks like at least $2000 and a fairly quick
machine for 100 users, any recommendations?

Thanks,
