Here's a simple question for the weekend :-) Also somewhat OT except for the fact that this PC runs and will continue to run Windows 2000 Prof.
I need to upgrade a family PC with new RAM and hard disk at least. The PC is a Gateway G6-450. I intent to get an Deskstar 180GXP 60.4GB UDMA100 ATA for the hard disk upgrade - presumably this should be plug compatible with the built-in IDE hard disk controller? BTW - are there any compelling reasons to upgrade from Windows 2000 Prof. to Windows XP? Thanks.
