I can confirm that it uses port 3389, but make sure you have the latest (XP) version of the control configured in your web pages - earlier versions will not work with Internet Explorer patched with recent role up hotfixes as the earlier controls have been marked unsafe. (Using the old control has the same appearance as having port 3389 blocked by a firewall, except that it will work with an older version of IE).
