Have you tried booting to dos (floppy)? Has someone turned on Virus protection in the BIOS where it protects the hard Drive Master Boot section? Can you boot to the Recovery Console?

They are all umplugged from the network. No new programs installed for sure in at least 2 of the 3. As I already said, this freezing happens when running windows setup from cd, so it's really strange. And all 3 computers came from different places where they were sent about an year ago.
