I know McAfee has had a bad rap in the past, but so has Norton in some ways ... and I
really like VSE 7. I also like the policy-based approach of ePO over the realtime
control of Symantec Enterprise. Also I understand everyone will say "Trend's the
best!" or whatever.

Anyhow we can't afford Trend and NAI offers good pricing to schools / universities.
But I'm not preaching here - different solutions work best in different environments.
ePO's not perfect but it seems to suit our environment the best. Given that,
GroupShield (GSE) happens to fit better in our particular situation, since the
exchange admins don't need to manage that software separately from all virus
protection/policies for the rest of our campus.

So does anyone find GSE 5.2 particularly terrible? And has anyone ever switched to it
from NAV??

thanks,
alex

Cheaper doesn't mean better... I've been down that road at my last
employer.

My $0.02 inc GST.
