Well, pretty much the only Apps that will be shared are Office XP Standard
apps: Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Outlook. Each user gets their own
desktop in our configuration, but roaming profiles are stored elsewhere.
So, all I'll really need to know is how big a standard 2003 install is
without the other apps and so on (I've got a handle on their size).

Thanks,

Matt

Depends on what else you need on that drive. I have a 2003 Server acting as
a TS. The app I'm sharing is also on the C: and is 700MB. The C: has a 2GB
swap file and I'm only using 4GB on that partition. So, in my case, 4GB
would be enough, but it might not be for you depending on how you configure
it.

Subject: Windows 2003 Server install size

Can anyone give me a pointer as to a general size-of-install for Windows
2003 Server? I'm trying to upgrade from an NT 4.0 TS box to Windows 2003,
and I'm thinking I won't have enough drive space to do an upgrade, given the
4 Gig C: drive that NT usually needs (plus all the applications and such). I
was just trying to see if I could avoid a completely fresh install (As much
as I like that over an upgrade). The circumstances of this server's use
make it such that an upgrade would be preferable.

Thanks,

Matt
