Damn...of course it would have to make sense in Microsoft's favor. OTOH I can't see it being smart to make a FSMO also an Exchange server and file/print server. Oh well.

Do they need to purchase 45 Win2K server CAL's AND 45 Exchange Server > CAL's? Short answer: Yes. Exchange licenseing is completely separate from Windows Server licensing. To connect to a Windows Server, you need CALs. To connect to Exchanage Server, you need CALs. Since Exchange only runs on Windows Server, you need both CALs. The usual bits about "per-seat" vs "per-connection" CALs for Windows Server still apply. -- Ben Scott <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> | The opinions expressed in this message are those of the author and do | | not represent the views or policy of any other person or organization. | | All information is provided without warranty of any kind. | ------ You are subscribed as [EMAIL PROTECTED] Web Interface: http://intm-dl.sparklist.com/cgi-bin/lyris.pl?enter=nt2000&text_mode=&lang=e nglish To unsubscribe send a blank email to %%email.unsub%% ------ You are subscribed as [EMAIL PROTECTED] Web Interface: http://intm-dl.sparklist.com/cgi-bin/lyris.pl?enter=nt2000&text_mode=&lang=english To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
