What happens if you make those two static IP's? Have you tried making them reserved addresses in DHCP just to see what that does? Are these two on the same subnet? Have you tried changing which port on the switch they're plugged in to? What happens if one of these machines is static and the other DHCP? Do you have the latest NIC drivers?
Just some guesses. This has only started since the TCP/IP update to DHCP served IP's. The same macined have been Internet connected with fixed IP's and no problems. The traffic isn't being routed to the Internet anyway as far as I can tell; it seems to be a LAN issue. Thanks. It sounds like they are infected with MSBlaster or some variation. Hope this helps... Two workstations are now flooding the network with packets causing the entire network to crash until the IP address of those machines is released. The lights on the network switch flash like crazy while this is going on. Ant ideas as to what could be causing this, and what can be done about it? Thnak you very much.
